Renovations to the Pere Laval Shrine in Sydney

Donation protected
In 1995, the Mauritian community gathered together to build this shrine. Lucien Descombes and Michel Bru (who have now passed on) received the gift of land from The Pauline Brothers on the site of The Shrine of Our Lady in Penrose Park. The materials were purchased by raising funds within the Mauritian community. It was constructed by a handful of hard-working Mauritian men, who dedicated their spare time (after work and weekends) to the cause. Today we look forward to showing our Pere Laval some long and overdue love and care by completing renovations to the existing shrine; and do so, we would appreciate your support. Major renovations are estimated to cost approximately $30,000; however we plan to start with minor renovations, estimated at approximately $10,000.
