My late Grandfather started the Mohammedia Hafiz Madrasa to provide orphaned and homeless children with shelter and a place to learn Islam and the Qur'an. Currently, the Mohammedia Hafiz Madrasa is home to 46 kids, providing them with a stable place to sleep, 3 meals per day, a few sets of clothes, and all education materials-- at no cost to them. Over the years, my immediate family (mainly my father and uncle) have been funding everything themselves. As grateful as we are to have a noble cause to invest in, we don't have the means to supply the finances needed to keep major projects in motion.

Alhamdulilah, we finished building a beautiful Mosque a few years ago and have since built a three-story building for our children. The first floor is split into a study space and a dining/kitchen area, and the other two floors are places where they sleep and play. Unfortunately, this building is still very unfinished and is not a comfortable living space by any means. Our main goal is to raise funds to finish this building properly, including laying down proper flooring, purchasing furniture, and renovating the bathrooms. Any additional funds will be put toward sponsoring more children and providing better quality food, clothes, and materials.

In this month of Ramadan when all deeds and rewards are significantly multiplied, we ask that you give sadaqah/zakat to our cause, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to make any financial contribution, sharing our fundraiser is also incredibly helpful.
