Renovation due to water damage at TTF

Donation protected
*Update on TTF* (4/5)
Unfortunately, the situation at TTF, my home, hasn't gotten any better.

We're still waiting for word from the insurance to help with some cover. But there apparently have been some problems delaying it. We're going into the 3rd month.

Payments on services that are supposed to be covered by insurance are due soon, and at the moment, I can not afford them because of paying out of pocket for another stuff insurance does not cover.

The goal has been lowered for the needed situation, and this is mos def the last time I will be using gofundme. It hurts me way too much asking you guys for help when there are so many others in need.

I'm already preparing for the worst. To stop doing TTF and selling all the equipment to pay off these invoices.

Thank you.

Update on the situation at TTF/Home:

Things are still not looking too good for TTF. The plumbing, which cost an arm and a leg, is done, but now we are waiting for the insurance and mitigation company to come to terms so we can start remodeling the restroom.

Most likely, l will be having to pay the difference for the fees once they come to an agreement. With that, I need your help, and this is what this page was set up for. The invoice is due by the end of the week (3/7), but I hope to get it extended.

Times are tough for everyone, and believe me, it hurts me asking for help these last couple of years. If TTF ever helped you out or meant something to you, you would be helping a bunch by donating. Even a simple share helps out.

If we can raise $1000 this week, it would be a great start.

Thank you to all who have donated so far.

I appreciate you all!

Hello. I can't tell you all how much I hate having to use GoFundMe yet again for TTF, especially with wildfires happening in SoCal. I'm forever grateful to the fighting game community in reaching our last goal in getting the roof fixed at the house.

But again I need your help.

Just a quick introduction for anyone new and stumbling upon this: My name is Cody and I run video game tournaments at my house. The house has been a staple of San Diego's fighting game community for over 15 years, providing a safe space for many of our players and I wish to continue doing so.

I came home to a major leak in the kitchen, the beloved anime kitchen to some. After calling an emergency plumber late into the night we got to the problem: the leak was coming from the shower and was building up for a long time but just now finally showing itself.

Due to how severe the water damage was behind the walls a flood service was needed and with that came more bad news.

In the end they will have to demolish the bathroom and remodel it as soon as possible because of how severe the damage is. After the flood service does their thing, the plumbing in the bathroom will have to be redone.

They're going to have to jackhammer the kitchen floor to get to the valves to replace/repair the pipes, and the bathroom will have to be remodeled.

Homeowners insurance will be covering everything dealing with the flood services, however the plumbing services is what's going to cost a lot. This is what we will need help with. The cost of everything will be $7,680. Anything raised above that will be used for other repairs to the house.

Like I said earlier. It hurts to ask for help. Please don't feel like you have to donate, but it is appreciated and anything will help.
Just another step in keeping the house up and running for San Diego's fighting game community.

I really appreciate you all. I can't tell you how much the fgc means to me.
