Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.

My beloved brother, Aeman Turgman, recently returned to Allah at the young age of 26. He was the happiest soul and always had a smile on his face, no matter what he was going through. The emotions I felt in my heart after the news we received when we were told that my brother’s body was found in Jubilee River will never leave me but the calming relief of understanding that those who pass away via drowning will die as Martyrs (Shaheed) “A person who dies a noble death in the cause of Allah SWT” allows me to navigate life with a positive mindset moving forward.

I also lost my father, Sami Turgman on the 3rd August 2024. He was my bestfriend & my role model and honestly the kindest & most pure human. He enjoyed the simple things in life & I pray I can even mirror a fraction of the character which he had. Over the past year or so I have wanted to do Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of my father but Subhan’Allah it has come at a time where I can now do it in combination for not only just my Father but also my Brother who Insha’Allah joins him in Jannah.

In both my father & brothers honour, we would like to renovate a masjid in our home country as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) on their behalf. The Prophet (saw) taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except for three things and one of them is ongoing charity. I pray this will continue to benefit them in their graves for years to come.

Initially we looked into building a masjid on behalf of my late father & brother but logistically it would be a difficult task even to do back home. Nevertheless, renovating a masjid can bring substantial benefits and every person who in future enters the Masjid for prayer will be a source of reward for my Brother & Father Insha’Allah.

My Initial goal is £5000 to support a specific Masjid, although there is no limit whatsoever as the more we are able to raise, the more we will be able to renovate the Masjid. The mosque I will be supporting is “Masjid Salah Eddin El Ayyoubi” based in Libya. The Masjid has a capacity of approximately 1000 Worshippers. Some of the Masjid’s facilities require urgent renovation, such as the toilets & the main prayer area itself, to ensure the provision of basic necessities. The Masjid’s roof needs to be repaired and insulated to prevent water leakage, Additionally, the Masjid’s Audio system also needs to be upgraded. Any contribution big or small will benefit us & yourselves in the hereafter. If you are unable to donate, please keep my brother & father in your duas and share this page to family & friends.

I would appreciate all of those with big social media accounts to use it in good faith & please get this page to as big an audience as possible.

May Allah forgive Aeman Turgman and Sami Turgman, My loving brother & father and May Allah grant them the highest level of Jannah, and reward everyone who contributes. Ameen.
