إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَـٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَى ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ (١٨)

The mosques of Allah should be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ‘truly’ guided. (18)
Overview:
Assalamu alaykum!
Our beloved Islamic Center of Claremont has been a cornerstone of our community for almost 40 years, providing a spiritual sanctuary for worship, education, and communal gatherings. However, our facilities are in immediate need of renovation and expansion to better serve the growing needs of our community. We are embarking on a crucial journey to enhance our masjid, ensuring a more inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.
Campaign Goal:
Our goal is to raise funds for the comprehensive renovation of the Islamic Center of Claremont which will be dedicated to various essential upgrades and repairs that will benefit the entire community.
Scope of Work:
Electrical and Lighting Upgrade:
- Replace and update recess lighting, electric outlets, and plates.
- Install TV monitors in Brothers Musalla and Sisters’ patio areas for educational programs and community announcements.
Interior Aesthetics:
- Replace all baseboards, door/window casings, and install new crown and chair rail moldings.
- Interior painting to create a serene and uplifting atmosphere.
Sister's Area Enhancement:
- Create an enclosed sister's and young children’s area for socializing, fostering a sense of community and sisterhood.
Minbar Replacement:
- Replace the existing Minbar to enhance the visual and spiritual aspects of the mosque.
Flooring Replacement:
- Replace carpet and padding for a cleaner and more comfortable prayer space.
Roof and Gutter Repairs:
- Address critical roof and gutter repairs to ensure the longevity and safety of our mosque.
