Hi, my name is Carol. My sweet, kind neice had a massive stroke at age 35 due to an undiagnosed heart defect. She is paralyzed on the right side. She is getting great care at Sheperd Center but will likely be in a wheelchair for life. We hope her vision and comprehension will improve so she can read again, as that was her favorite pastime.
