Meet our amazing niece, Rosie!...She is a bright and spirited 12-year-old living with Spina Bifida. As a full-time wheelchair user entering her teens, Rosie is looking for the same things most kids her age want: more privacy and independence at home. Right now, her family's bathrooms aren't built for her new "adult-sized" wheelchair, making personal-care routines a real challenge and frustrating for Rose.
We have a great opportunity to fix this! An experienced local contractor heard about Rosie’s difficulties and has offered to make the renovations needed at a reduced rate. Ultimately, we hope to fully cover the demo and build costs of a new accessible layout for Rose - complete with a large roll-in shower, adaptive ADA vanities, taller toilets, and wider doors - but we need your help to make all this happen for Rosie.
Every dollar you give will change Rosie's life for the better, with each gift going directly towards the demolition, specialized materials, labor, and construction needed to adapt Rosie's family home to her specific needs.
Your participation will make a HUGE difference!
Please donate whatever you can today and, when you have a moment, share Rosie's campaign with your friends and family...to amplify our reach and help us build better, safer, more user-friendly spaces at home for Rosie!
