Update 10/22/24

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Tianna Ellis, who went to be with the Lord early this morning. She fought with courage and strength for as long as she could, but in His wisdom, God called her home. Though her body grew weak, we find peace in knowing she is now at rest. This is not the outcome we prayed for, but we trust in God’s plan and believe she is in a better place.

Please keep Tianna’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful to everyone who offered prayers, support, and donations, which provided comfort and care throughout her journey. Your kindness has meant the world to us.

Thank you.

Message from Tianna (my mother-in-law):

The journey began unexpectedly in 2017 with a visit to the ER, where I learned I had stage 4 Cirrhosis. Despite the diagnosis, I managed it quite well until December 2023. However, this year, I've spent more time in the hospital than out of it. Recently, it was determined that I am eligible for a kidney and liver transplant. The uncertainty of whether they will be done separately or together adds to the stress. To prepare for the upcoming surgeries, we're raising funds to cover hotel stays and travel expenses. Dad may need to stay in a hotel for 2 to 4 weeks, and any help we receive is immensely appreciated.

Message from me:

In the calm embrace of family, a tale unfolds. My mother-in-law, a pillar of strength, awaits placement on a transplant list for a new liver and a kidney. Despite never touching alcohol, fate has led her here.

As she prepares for this journey, my heart aches for her and my father-in-law, who will stand by her side through it all.

Their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, offers solace, yet the transplant center in Oklahoma City is a two-hour journey away. Grateful for insurance, the heavy cost of hotel bills during recovery weighs heavy on their minds.

In the face of adversity, the threat of financial strain looms. But amidst the uncertainty, there's hope – a reminder of the kindness that surrounds them.

Together, let us stand with them, a beacon of love and support. For in life's tapestry, every thread, no matter how delicate, is woven with the fabric of resilience and love.

update 08/13/24:

Things have been really tough with Mom lately. They’ve had to spend much more time in OKC than they ever anticipated, and she hasn’t even had her transplant yet. We’re feeling the weight of it all, but your support means the world to us. If you’re able to donate or share her story, we would be incredibly grateful. Your generosity and kindness keep us going.
