On the evening of May 27, a fire ripped through the old Roberts Shoe Store building on the corner of Lake and Chicago in Minneapolis. Everything is gone. It is a total loss. Rene Thompson, building caretaker, lost his home, his dance studio and all of his belongings. 

Rene is a professional dancer, dance instructor and choreographer who radiates contagious positive energy and shares his gifts of Afro-Cuban, Cuban and Latin dance with the Twin Cities. Let's help Rene get back on his feet so he can find a new home (and keep dancing).
