Rebuilding Renel Pena's Family Home

A Short Note:

Renel Pena is a Traditional Catholic in the Philippines. He is well known in many circles around the globe as being the foremost defender of the Latin Mass and the cause of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre.

On October 18th, 2015 a hellish Category 4 typhoon struck his father's home in Aurora.  The home was completely demolished.

Renel uses his paycheck to put his brothers and sisters in school and support his ailing father.  But this monumental crisis is beyond his financial capability.  The total damage is estimated at 70,000 pesos - that's about $1,500 US dollars.  That might not seem like much money to us in the United States - but that's more than a year's salary for many people in the Philippines.  Even if Renel used all of his emergency funds - he would still not have enough money and there are no credit cards to swipe for an immediate fix.

I want to be clear: Renel did not ask me to do this.  He was too embarrassed to ask for money.  He only asked for our prayers.  But I feel that we Catholics cannot stand idly by and do nothing.  Yes, we can pray.  But we can also donate $5, $10, or $20 dollars.  Remember: $20 is a week's salary over there.  If only 150 people donate $10.00, this financial catastrophe can be averted.  Even if you cannot donate, please share the link in your social media circles.
