Hi to all of our friends and family,
On Friday, January 29th our father, Rene Garrido Amador, experienced heart failure with severe damage to his critical organs. My youngest sister, Giselle, was there in his final moment and with the help of two other family members, the fire department and EMTs, they brought back a heart beat. Unfortunately, our dad will not recover from this.
In his final days we- Stephanie, Luis and Giselle- are seeking help in the form of donations to give our father a proper end-of-life memorial. Because this event came suddenly we are faced with the high cost of a funeral service in a short amount of time. These funds, which we hope to have collected by 2/13, will help us cover his funeral and last medical expenses. The funeral will be held for those who would like to console the family and to say goodbye to Rene, who no one expected to lose so soon. These final expenses will be managed by me, Stephanie, my siblings, and our mother, Teresa.
Please provide as much as you feel you can help with- any amount, big or small, we will accept with tremendous gratitude. If you would like to share, please, also include a fond memory you had of our dad. You can also help by sharing this link with others who may be willing to help.
Our father meant so much to us, our mother, our pets and countless friends and family members that met him along the way. Through good times and bad, our father worked to give us the best life could. He always encouraged us to persevere and keep a positive outlook on life. We’ll miss his goofy sense of humor and keep his favorite motto close to our hearts. “Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife.”
