Renee Boeh's Breast Cancer Fund

My apologies to all my friends who are finding out about my illness here rather than from me in person.

Hi all, I'm Renee Boeh. I am a self-employed single mom and I have been diagonosed with breast cancer, and I'm about to undergo major surgery--I am scheduled for a complete mastectomy on May 17, and I will start chemotherapy about 3 weeks after surgery.  Although I have medical insurance, because of policies changing mid-treatment and the entire treatment plan taking up to a full year, I will incur 2-3 insurance deductibles and significant medical out-of-pocket expense. In addition, I will be off work (I have an extremely physical career as a fitness consultant/instructor/trainer) and I may not be able to return to full-time status for several months. The bottom line is that my illness will cost me over $20,000 out-of-pocket (after insurance), and possibly more if they find the cancer is more invasive and I have to have more chemo and be off work longer.

Any financial help you can offer will help get me through this difficult time and get me up and running again (literally)!
