Family. The foundational institution of society ordained by God. My beautiful family has lost our most treasured member. Beautiful, caring, trustworthy, compassionate, loyal, strong and stubborn, bright, full of life, always wanting others to be cared for and safe. My wife, mother of our children Tyler, Lauren, and Colin; daughter to Jim and June; sister of Kelly and brother in law Mickey; sister in law to Gretchen, Susan, and Paul; aunt to Garrett and Addison; daughter in law to Janet and George; relation to everyone, has passed on to heaven on May 12, 2023 at 10:20 pm at UofM Medical Center from cancer, fighting to the end as the spirited fire that we all knew! To Renee, May god wrap you in his loving and caring arms, be free from the pain of this earth and know that you are eternally loved and remembered. I know life must go on, she would always say “take it one day at a time”, and that is what I will do, what all of us must do with now that she is in heaven. She was always my rock, our rock, making life so simple when it was overwhelming, allowing us to chart our own path, but guide us in the right direction. She will always be in my and our hearts, a blessing that I was able to share 24 great years with her, making a family that was always grounded as I was not. I will always love you, Renee, and know I am so relieved you have no more pain and are at peace with God.
