My husband, Scott Simpson, and I have been going through very bad medical and financial issues.

Renee Simpson worked most of her career in a helping capacity, assisting children, families, parents, and the elderly. She has also worked with disabled adults on life skills and job coaching. Renee Simpson has had several medical issues over many years and is unable to work at this time. She has several specialists and diagnoses. She's had multiple surgeries, visits to the emergency room, and admissions. Her health issues require several prescriptions, which seem to keep increasing. One of her illnesses requires nitroglycerin from a cardiologist. She will most likely have a surgery requiring a two-day stay prior to 01/1/2026.

Scott Simpson had been the only one working for the past few years in a helping capacity. Throughout his career, he has always been in the working class, service industry. He catered planes for sports teams for almost ten years. His last job duties were accepting donations in a thrift store, and some profits went to veterans. Scott lost his job in 03/2025. He was on unemployment for a limited time. Scott has recently found out he has several illnesses requiring three specialists: urology, neurology, and gastroenterology. He has a rare autoimmune disease of the esophagus and is required to have his third endoscopy in November. This is after having two already within the past three months. Unfortunately, he is also scheduled for a prostate MRI and biopsy after a thorough exam and discoveries with urology.

We have been through rough times in the past. We've been together for 35 years and never had to reach out to GoFundMe in the past. We have been through all savings and income. We live in a modest small apartment; however, we are struggling. We are seeking money for shelter expenses, household needs, medical expenses, and medical transportation back and forth for specialist appointments, scheduled surgery, and many follow-ups.
