Hello, my name is Dustin and I am Rene's oldest son. On Sunday, April 16th my father was called home by the Lord. He fought a heart infection (Endocartitis) in the hospital for a month but unfortunately, it proved to be too much for him to overcome. It infected one of his major heart valves causing him to have major heart complications. We are devastated over his sudden passing.

He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, son and was also a friend to everyone he met. He was the type of person to always put the needs of others first and show up for them in times of need. He was a man of faith who led his life with love, joy, and respect towards everyone. We will always remember his warm hugs, smile, enthusiastic personality, and love of singing. He had a heart of gold and a one-of-a-kind soul who will be truly missed by so many. We find comfort in knowing that he is no longer suffering from any pain and he is now in heaven rejoicing with our Lord Jesus Christ.

At this time our family is asking for assistance to be able to provide him with a proper burial ceremony. We have created this fundraiser in hopes of being able to do so but also raise enough funds to help pay for some of the hospital bills as well. We appreciate any kind of donation or help sharing this to spread the word. We know our dad’s life touched other’s in a positive way and that he was loved by so many. From the bottom of our hearts we are truly grateful for everyone’s support during these difficult times.
