Rene' and Deanna

Hi, my name is Tamara and I am one of the managing partners at Daily Driver. As many of you know Rene' (Director of Baking) and Deanna (FOH Manager) had a baby (Vienna) three months ago. With the addition of their second child they made the hard decision to move back to LA to be near family for support. Deanna and the girls are already in LA and yesterday we helped Rene' pack up his home in Potrero Hill. We had his goodbye dinner last night and this morning, the day he was leaving SF he awoke to the fully packed UHaul with his car attached all gone. The UHaul with the contents of their home and car were stolen. A police report has been filed.

The contents of the UHaul are not insured and he is still getting charged the thousand dollar rental fee. The car unfortunately was not insured either as money was tight and it needed to go to their mechanic in LA so he decided to forgo coverage until it was operable again.

Rene' and Deanna were with Daily Driver for three and 1/2 years and are a big part of the Daily Driver family. It has been a challenging time for food businesses in SF the last few years thus we don't have the money to help Rene' and Deanna in this crisis. So we are looking to our community for support. Anything will help and we thank you for considering. The money will be used to ensure they have a small cushion while they get back on their feet in LA.
