This page was created to support our friend Renato Avalos in his battle against cancer.
Renato is the proud father of two beautiful young daughters, he's a great friend to hundreds of people and an activist in the Hispanic community that has given so much of himself and his time to help others. He directed and produced the documental "SB-1070 Los Rostros" portraying both sides of the story and the human tragedy of this law. He created ALAS (Asociación Latina de Arizona) to help Hispanic businesses get through the economic downturn, donating time and money. He has been a warrior in all fronts for his family and for our community.
Now he is in the most important fight of all... A fight for his life. He's been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in several parts of his body but he's determined to fight this horrible disease and win the battle... But he needs our help... He needs your help. He needs funds to cover the costs of his current treatments, to cover his living expenses and to explore alternative treatments that will help him win the battle.

Cancer affects 1 in 4 Americans. Chances are that you or someone very close to you may have to fight this horrible disease. Renato will continue to fight but he cannot do it alone. He needs us.
