I was recently, to my absolute delight, accepted into ED5 International performing arts school in Sydney, Australia. It’s for their two year Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts starting January 2020. They are a high level school known for launching many people’s careers in the industry. This has been my dream for so long and if I don’t take this opportunity now, I think I will regret it for the rest of my life and always be asking myself “what if?”
The greatest challenge standing in the way of my dreams is the cost - AUD $27,000.00 for tuition fees. But I don’t want this to be the obstacle that stops me and this is where I need your help. Since ED5 is a private school I am not eligible for a student government loan and need to pay my own way. I have some savings, plus my parents will help a bit. I think we could manage the first year but I’m asking for help with the second year. If you believe in me and want to help me go after the career of my dreams then please consider donating.

I was born in Adelaide, but my family relocated to Hong Kong after my grandparents (Rob and Glenda Rufus) started an amazing church there. I loved my childhood! Growing up as a pastor’s kid, in one of the most expensive and diverse cities in the world had its challenges, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I definitely didn't experience the typical “theatre kid” or “bunhead” upbringing. My incredible family always encouraged me and supported me, and paid for dance classes when they could afford it. But, I never thought that I would actually grow up and work in the performing industry!
Since the age of 17, I’ve supported my own training. And to be honest, there were many times when I imagined quitting... but my passion and drive to keep dancing never ceased. I love being on stage, I love improving my technique. The past 4 years have simply been a gradual unfolding of my honest ambitions. The massive doubts I used to have about my future have crumbled under the discovery of my true identity and what I want to do with my life.
So, here I am at 21. Working in Hong Kong, taking dance classes in my free time, doing freelance work when it comes, educating myself as much as I can … yet feeling a major plateau in my singing, dancing & acting techniques and artistry. I want to reach a professional level. And I'm ready to put in the work!

-Started Vaganova ballet training at the age of 14, and was dancing on pointe a year later.
-Home schooled for the final 3 years of High School, and graduated in 2016 with a 4.0 GPA.
-Completed HKAPA's Gifted Young Dancer Programme in 2016-2017, with a half year scholarship and 95% attendance.
-A dancer in HKYAF'S Youth Assistant Choreographer's Programme 2017-18
-Graduated from HKAPA EXCEL's BTEC level 4 full-time Musical Theatre programme 2017-18, with distinction, 96% attendance, and "Most Outstanding Student Award".
-Auditioned for Hong Kong Disneyland 9 times within a year.
-Worked part-time in education from the age of 15, including teaching English, drama and dance.
-Performed in a number of ballet, jazz, drama and musical theatre performances, including World Family Club, StudioDanz, PerformCrew, Treasure Chest Theatre Company, and four seasonal shows with EXCEL & HK International Airport.
