Renee Lee was born on December 29, 2017, to my sister, Erin, and her husband, Chris. Yesterday their beautiful baby girl passed away after a tragic accident. She was almost 7 months old. 

I was able to see Renee just one week before, when I was with family for my Grandpa's funeral. I was able to watch my sister love and care for Renee. I watched as she proudly took Renee around to show her off to the family. I remember observing the dynamics of their new, little family, watching as Renee's mommy and daddy took turns trying to appease her when she was fussy... Now, I wish I could go back. I wish I could soak it all in one more time. See her smile, hold her longer, hear her jabber about whatever a 7-month old jabbers about. 

As I sit here thinking about what I should say, it's hard to find the words. It barely seems real. My heart breaks for my sister and brother-in-law. As a mom of two toddlers, I cannot even begin to imagine the extreme emotional pain that a parent goes through when losing a child, no matter what the age. 

Please pray for them. Only God can heal their hearts.

The funds raised will all go to Chris and Erin to cover medical and funeral expenses. As you can imagine, this was unexpected and they were not prepared to bury their infant daughter. Please, feel free to give anything that you can. But, most of all, your prayers are so needed. Please pray.
