Legus (René) Milton's Memorial

Matt is one of my closest friends. He is kind, charitable, and always willing to help when I've been in need. I got to know his dad, Mr. Milton, over the years. He was always laughing, smiling, talking about his favorite buffets and joking with an amazing youthful spirit. He loved his family and especially his two sons Matthew and Daniel.
I'm creating this Gofundme because he passed away suddenly on January 19, 2021 due to complications related to kidney failure. Since his passing I've learned that Mr. Milton was born in Big Spring, Texas at what is now known as Webb Air Base. He lived in Japan and the Philippines as a child, then moved to Fairfield, CA. He was a celebrated kicker on his High School football team. Mr. Milton was an ordained COGIC minister and assistant pastor, and later a pastor at Unity Church of God in Christ in Vallejo. He worked for the City of Sacramento for 18 years in many departments, as well as in multiple counties for the state of Colorado. Before his passing he moved back to Sacramento to spend time with his family: Daria, Matthew, and Daniel (Isabel).
We were all so grateful to connect with Mr. Milton in these final years before his unexpected passing. I am hoping that this Gofundme will help his grieving family pay for funereal expenses (including the burial plot, venue, flowers, programs and DVDs for those who cannot attend). These funds will go directly to the family and I am hoping to get it to them as soon as possible, to help ease the process of planning his service.
