My name is Ren and I have been a single-mother since I was 16 years old to two beautiful, wonderful, and intelligent children; Elliot 12 years old, and Emalee 11 years old. Both love art and music and the ability to express themselves freely. Both are incredibly curious about the world around them and take a deep-interest in helping those less-fortunate in this life. I could not be prouder of the two spectacular individuals that I have nurtured since birth and have had the privilege of seeing grow into wholesome and loving human beings. in August of 2024 I was forced into a custody battle over my two kids that I have raised for their entire lives. Throughout the past year I have fought tirelessly to have this court-case settle in our favor and have expended all of my own resources and beyond doing-so. With a final trial date set for this upcoming January, I have been contacted by my lawyer asking for a trust-replenishment of $10,000, with an outstanding invoice of $3200 past-due. We simply cannot afford this. Given my current employment I am able to cover and maintain our monthly expenses, but without any assets or direct familial help, I don't have a way to cover the costs associated with keeping my children in the environment they have lived, loved, and thrived in their entire lives. I have spent my life working to be as independent as possible, and I struggle with asking for help. I am now in a position where I desperately need aid from my community, and giving myself permission to reach out for it.
