REMYdy - Kidney Transplant Fund
Donation protected

Remy Marceau is a 31-year-old young man who has been waiting for a second kidney transplant for over two years. He has been on dialysis three times per week since March 2016.
In November of 2012, through an amazing altruistic kidney donor, Remy received his first kidney transplant. That surgery came at a time when he was requiring eight hour infusions on a daily basis.
In March of 2016, Remy was recovering from scar revision surgeries on both his right and left chest which included a fat graft and removal of extensive internal scar tissue. The extreme pain that followed led to the discovery that he was in renal failure as a result of cellular rejection as well as antibody mediated rejection. Typically patients only have one type or the other. Remy had both.

Remy has been in and out of the hospital since he was 12-years-old and has undergone countless surgeries and procedures. Since November 2017, he has spent all major holidays in the hospital including his birthday.

WONDERFUL NEWS!
Now here comes the BEST news. On July 17, 2018, Remy will undergo a kidney transplant from a non-related altruistic donor. An amazing woman will give him a new chance at a normal, dialysis free life.
HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED
Remy’s insurance does not cover donor related expenses. April, his donor, will receive assistance for her airfare and rental car from Donor Assistance networks, but expenses for her stay in Arizona and lost wages that she relies on to care for her family are not provided. Additionally, her father will be travelling with her as her caregiver post-surgery. His expenses and lost wages are a factor, as well.

Because Remy has not been at this company for two years, he will not receive salary. His mother, Janet, a self-employed hairdresser, will be unable to work as she takes care of her son for the month following surgery.
Donations will be split to help with the expenses for Remy, April and their parents.
Please consider a donation, even $5 will help. If you cannot donate, please share this request and please keep Remy, his donor and their families in your prayers. They are grateful.
Thank you from Remy, April and their families!
