Help Remy Stay Safe & Loved After Being Rescued from Euthanasia

Hi, my name is Mel Loutfi and I live in Orlando, FL. I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of a sweet 7-year-old pitbull mix named Remy, who was rescued from the euthanasia list at a local shelter. I didn’t have a plan when I adopted him — I just knew I couldn’t let him die.

Remy was out of time, and I couldn’t bear to see such a gentle, loving soul be put down. I didn’t have space for him at home because I have cats, but I took a leap of faith and brought him with me anyway. Since then, Remy has been staying in the bathroom at my workplace — not ideal, but the only option I had to keep him safe and alive.

I found someone who agreed to adopt him, but unfortunately they’ve now decided they can’t keep him, and Remy will be coming back to me. I’m now urgently looking for a new foster or forever home while trying to keep him boarded safely for a few days — which is very expensive.

I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars from my savings on Remy — for food, a crate, toys, bedding, and boarding — and I’ve reached a point where I just can’t keep doing it alone. That’s why I’m asking for help.

Remy is healthy, sweet, and full of love. He’s been given a second chance at life, and I want to make sure that second chance doesn't end with him being homeless again.

I’m hoping to raise $2,000 to cover:

Temporary boarding

Food, treats, and supplies

Medical checkups if needed

Continued care until I can find him a forever home
