Asbestos crisis at Kelly’s home - Any aid appreciated
Donation protected
Hello friends, family and kind-hearted community members. My name is Cory and I am attempting to help my sister, Kelly, ease some of her unexpected financial burden and stress. She recently discovered asbestos in her home while removing the popcorn texture from the ceiling. Since the asbestos has been disturbed and can no longer be encapsulated or contained, a full abatement is needed including air quality verification. She is currently faced with $10,000 in abatement costs and an additional $10,000 to replace carpet, furniture, bedding, clothes, children’s playthings and more. If you are willing and able, anything you can share will be appreciated more than you can imagine.
Other ways you can help beyond cash donations would be greatly appreciated as well. Things like gift cards or discounts to stores for home goods and clothing. Even volunteering to help deliver, install or assemble replacement items have an enormous impact.
Please consider a contribution in any way you are comfortable with and thank you in advance for your valuable time.
Sincerely,
Cory
A little more about Kelly:
She has two beautifully amazing children that bring so much attitude and fun to the family. They are a constant source of entertainment. Both Kelly and her husband manage immunocompromised diseases that max out health insurance deductibles within the first couple months of the year. Despite the health obstacles, she can take on the world and is probably the strongest person I know. Even though she is younger than me, I look up to her in so many ways. She is a rockstar and deserves some good fortune. Prior to the asbestos issue, they were dealt a significant financial blow when needing to replace a broken septic system a few years ago which is still impacting them today. She is also too stubborn to ask for help, like most of us in our family. It’s how I know the significance of this moment for her. We got you, Kel. Love you.
