Remote Writing Jobs was built to give writers what too many platforms deny. Clarity, fairness, and work that respects their time and talent. Every opportunity in the directory is vetted and transparent, showing the pay upfront so writers can focus on writing instead of chasing crumbs. Thousands of writers rely on this daily including hundreds of paying subscribers, and it remains my full-time labor to keep it running with integrity.

Now, I’m taking the next step by commissioning original work through RWJ’s in-house publication to pay guest writers and elevate voices across the craft.

Each commissioned story will be paid at $0.50/word, with lengths ranging from 500 to 1,200 words. That means each piece will earn between $250-$600. Funding the first ten stories at the maximum word count would total $6,000. Every dollar goes directly to paying guest writers. The goal also covers GoFundMe fees and a buffer to uphold the publication’s editorial capacity and quality as a one-woman outlet. Supporting this campaign is a direct investment in creative labor and in building a space where writing is valued, seen, and compensated.

These essays, reflections, and explorations will dive into the realities of the writing life, offer practical insight, and share perspectives that help other writers navigate the field.

I launched this project optimistically, hoping my own resources, together with the incredible support of my paid subscribers, would be enough. Their commitment has been invaluable, but with over 200 paid subscribers out of nearly 8,000 total, it quickly became clear that sustaining this publication and paying writers fairly from day one requires additional support. Your contribution ensures that the first ten guest writers are compensated properly and that the publication can grow responsibly, without compromise.
