At Spin the Spectrum, our mission is to bridge the gap between neurodiversity and the arts. We're dedicated to providing an inclusive, understanding environment where individuals on the autism spectrum can find their voice, channel their creativity, and connect with others through DJing. This isn't just about music; it's about creating a space where everyone belongs and everyone can thrive.
Why DJ Classes for Neurodivergent Individuals?
Music has the unique ability to engage, inspire, and heal. For those who are neurodivergent, the world of sound offers a special kind of sanctuary and expression. With a little help from some of our exceptionally talented friends, like DJ Cuzzin B, the producer of NPR's Tiny Desk, our students have the opportunity to experience the wider musical landscape, our inspiration comes directly from the heart of our community. The "Remixing the Future DJ Challenge" was conceived not from celebrity endorsements, but from a grassroots desire to make a real, lasting difference. We've seen first-hand the joy and transformation that DJing can bring to neurodivergent individuals, and we're on a mission to spread this opportunity far and wide.

- Procuring specialized DJ equipment designed for neurodivergent users.
- Hiring and training skilled instructors who specialize in working with neurodiverse groups.
