TU Family,
This past weekend our dear friend, lost his beautiful 24 year-old daughter, Marina (Remington) Leiva. For those fortunate enough to really know Jonathan, you know how deeply he loved Marina, and how the world will miss her bright smile and sweet, sweet soul.
Marina moved across country to follow her dream of becoming a writer. She moved from Wisconsin to New York and married the love of her life Kevin Leiva in January of 2018. The pair were planning their future when Kevin an EMT was hit with COVID in 2020. Marina’s world was turned upside down, and she was unable to say goodbye or be with him as he lost his battle with the virus. Marina was devastated and slowly returned to her life without her husband.
The list of tragedies that have struck Jonathan and his family with the death of his mom in 2019, his son in law to COVID in 2020, and now the sudden death of his oldest child and only daughter, Marina are truly heartbreaking. Jonathan is strong in his faith, and we know he will continue to hold on to that faith to get through this difficult time. As we continue to keep this family in our thoughts and prayers, many have reached out to ask how they can support Jonathan. We know that Jonathan has worked with many people at AT&T and within TU, please forward this on to anyone who may have been missed. Your contributions, prayers and support to this family is greatly appreciated.
