Remey's Recovery
Donation protected

Remey graduated from high school in June 2019 and was preparing for a life of Military Service. On Sunday, September 22, 2019; just 2 weeks from his 19th birthday, Remey went for a motorcycle ride with a group of friends; something he did weekly. This ride did not end as all his previous rides; Remey was hit head-on by a vehicle throwing him up onto and over the vehicle. Remey was airlifted to the hospital with bilateral wrist fractures, punctured/deflated lungs, broken ribs, sternum, and a fractured spine at the T6/T7 vertebrae. Remey has undergone numerous surgeries to repair his wrists and spine and has been left paralyzed from the waist down. Despite this prognosis, it has not diminished our family’s faith and determination that with a lot of hard work and support, he may walk again.
As you can imagine, the cost throughout his lifetime of therapy and hospitalizations will be staggering. Some of his immediate needs are monthly health insurance premiums as well as expenses insurance will not cover. Such as ongoing physical therapy, durable medical equipment, shower chair – this allows his parents to be able to shower him – manual wheelchair, home modifications and a handicapped-accessible vehicle with special driving modifications to allow Remey to drive when he is ready and able.
I have created this fund on behalf of my brother and sister who never ask for help, but rather are the ones always offering help when others need it. As you can imagine this has been very hard on them as well trying to juggle work and caring for Remey and trying to stay strong, positive and upbeat for Remey; because as you can imagine, this has not and is not easy for Remey and he has his fair share of down days.
It is difficult to imagine what the future holds, and the road to recovery will be long and extensive, but Remey is dedicated and will never cease to work hard to become as independent as possible and live a full life. We simply need to be able to support him along his journey. We are asking for any donations to help assist him.
Thank you in advance for your prayers, thoughts, and good vibes!
