On Monday, May 5, 2:22pm, Mark Deutsch's brilliant soul etherealized.

Mark's spirit is a potently powerful gift for humanity. His revolutionary instrument, the Bazantar, was the voice of his soul—a unique six-string acoustic bass with 29 sympathetic strings and 4 drone strings that created mesmerizing soundscapes bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions.

Mark loved his wife Martha with all of his heart. The way he looked at her will forever be imprinted in our hearts. Their partnership~ a true love partnership of beauty and creativity.

In such a shockingly short time. everything has changed. Mark's spirit continues to soar, those left behind, especially Martha, face the difficult reality of grief alongside practical concerns.
