Remembrance and adoration of our father
Donation protected
Just shy of 85 years old, my dad devoted his life to God, family, his country, and friends. As a retired minister, it was never for the money or status to him, only to do the Lord's work as needed. He gave selflessly, only seeking the good and happiness in and for others.
Less than a month ago, he rang the bell of being cancer free, and his doctors told him he was doing outstanding with no concerns for anything in the near future. Tuesday morning he fell taking his beloved dogs to the groomer, he clung to my hand until the unexpected end Wednesday 9/6/23.
In lieu of flowers and food, we're collecting funds to cover his service expenses, then the remaining funds we will placed in the Larry Dettner Ministry Scholarship that's being made through his church, Canton First United Methodist. With his impact on so many, we see this as the best opportunity to honor and maintain his personal legacy!
We thank you all so much for the kind words, prayers, and love through this difficult process.
