Remembering Steven

Donation protected
In 1993, Steven O'Brien was a fun-loving 18-year-old who dreamed of becoming a chef and travelling the world. He was a creative spirit whose best days were spent with friends, cooking up delicious creations in the kitchen or exploring nature on his grandparents' farm in Iona where he grew up.  His love of cooking took him to the culinary arts program at Holland College where he was training to become a pastry chef.

On a bitterly cold night in March twenty five years ago, Steven disappeared from Charlottetown without a trace. While his many close friends and family still miss him terribly and hope for answers, they know that there was so much more to Steven’s life than what happened that night.

To honour his life and his passions, we, Steven’s friends and family are creating a memorial scholarship to support future students of Holland College's Culinary Arts Programme. Please join us in remembering Steven by helping other young people who share his hopes and dreams succeed.

Note:
One hundred percent of donations will go directly to the Steven O’Brien Memorial Scholarship Fund, administered by Holland College. An account has been established with the PEI Credit Union to retrieve the funds from GoFundMe.com. Funds will be transferred from the PEI Credit Union account to Holland College to create an endowed award. Each year, Holland College will award the interest from the fund to a deserving student pursuing their education in the culinary arts.
