Candice Adams Ismirle ended her long and courageous fight with cancer early in the morning of February 12, 2016 in the same manner in which she fought it, with grace and dignity. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a loving husband Ryan, two beautiful twin boys Rafe & Ryder, parents Mike & Sandy, and brother Michael.
Candice was a veteran of the United States Air Force. She served for over 10 years as a public affairs officer until she was medically retired at the rank of Major due to her cancer diagnosis.
Candice and Ryan met in the Air Force. Ryan currently serves as an F-15E fighter pilot at Seymour Johnson AFB and has flown in combat in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Before this they lived in DC while Ryan worked at the Pentagon and Candice underwent treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center. During their time in DC they were blessed with their twin boys, finally completing Candice's dream of being a mother.
At this time the Ismirle and Adams families need help and support any way possible. Donations will go directly to Ryan and the boys to offset expenses during this difficult time. Prayers or positive comments are just as valuable as money. The family asks that you continue to spread her story and legacy. Thank you for your efforts.
