Remembering Willow Kātarina Horne

Our beautiful baby girl, Willow Kātarina Horne, was born on the 17th of December 2024. At just 8 and a half months old, she was taken from us far too soon. Willow was a happy, strong, and deeply loved little girl who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

We are raising funds to help lay Willow to rest and celebrate her life. The money will go towards her cremation and celebrating her life in Kalgoorlie, before we bring part of her ashes home to New Zealand to rest in special places close to our hearts. We also hope to honour her memory in a personal way with tattoos that include her ashes, keeping a piece of her with us always.

Willow’s passing was sudden and unexpected. We noticed she was struggling with her breathing and spent several nights in hospital. Plans were being made to transfer her to Perth for further care, but heartbreakingly, she passed before that could happen. While we are still waiting on answers, we take comfort in believing she left us peacefully.

We did not want to put an amount to aim for because we would be greatful for anything but gofundme requires this. Any support, whether through donations or simply sharing Willow’s story, means the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.
