Our dear husband, father, friend, and teacher, James Warren Marks, unexpectedly passed away on October 8th. Warren’s wish to donate his body to science will be granted at High Point University near Greensboro, NC. Through this donation, he will be able to continue doing what he loved most and teach a new generation of medical students as a silent teacher. A memorial plaque with his name will be publicly displayed on the Tree of Life outside the Anatomy L Congdon Hall at the university. 

Warren is fiercely loved by his wife, Angie Marks, and five children, Ryan, Carter, Katie, Austin, and Jack. Warren enjoyed traveling with Angie and his family, rocking out to Prince, and soaking up the little things in life living as if everyday were his last. Warren is a proud graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and remains great friends with many of his school mates. He also still holds the title of Most Handsome Brother of his fraternity, Chi Psi.

Angie and the rest of the family are going to be incurring many unexpected costs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to support memorial service fees and other costs. 

A memorial service remembering and celebrating Warren’s life will be held at Life and Legacy in Indian Trail on Saturday, October 12th at 2 pm. A visitation will precede the service at 1 pm.

Warren was a bright light in all of our lives. The number of people that have reached out to let us know he was an inspiration to them and touched their lives has been helping us through this terrible time and we thank you all for the support you’ve given.
