Remembering Tyde Tanner

As many of you know, my uncle Tyde passed away on April 7, 2025, after several years of health challenges that he met with grace, humor, and unwavering faith. For the last two and a half years, Tyde was homebound and unable to speak or move—yet even then, he continued to teach us about love, resilience, and devotion.

To me, Tyde was the greatest uncle in the world. But he was also the greatest dad, husband, and brother—just ask my cousins, my aunt Linda, or my own dad. He showed up for the people he loved, and made everyone feel like they were his favorite. He made people feel seen, loved, and laughed with—and often all three at once. He had a gift for turning everyday moments into magic, and he never missed a chance to show up for the people he cared about.

Many of you have asked how you can help or pay your respects. This GoFundMe is a space for friends and family who want to offer support in a simple way—whether to help with final expenses or simply to show love to the Tanner family during this time. There is no pressure or expectation, only gratitude for the many who have reached out with kind words and memories.
