Remembering Tremaine: Support for the Rivers

Derek and Jacie are a young couple who just lost their fourth child. Derek is a police officer and Jacie is a stay-at-home mom and has a jewelry business.

Derek and Jacie added their fourth child to their family in the spring. His name was Tremaine.

In late July, Tremaine was found unresponsive. He was rushed to the hospital and then airlifted to another hospital. Doctors tried everything they could, including life support, but he passed away on July 18th.

His parents and siblings are devastated.

In addition to their grief, the Rivers family is facing insurmountable medical bills from the ambulance, airift, and life support efforts. While they have deductibles, their share of cost is significant, and their insurance is battling them as Tremaine was still in the process of being put on their policy.
