My name is Philemon Kirui. It is with heavy heart that I ask for donations to help with funeral and memorial expenses for Jeremiah, a loving and athletic teenager whose life was cut short by a senseless act of gun violence.

Jeremiah was a 19 year old son to Albert and Demetria, who was getting ready to head to college this coming January, unfortunately, he was gunned down on December 1st in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

For me, he was a young loving nephew with an infectious smile. He loved playing basketball, and hanging out with his brother, and watching out for his younger siblings. He was affectionately loved by many, especially his former colleagues with whom he played with and won basketball games together.

The unexpected events that led to his untimely death leaves his family with many unsettled questions, but the immediate needs of laying him to rest is why I am starting this fundraiser.

He was a good kid, and he deserves a memorable send off as we plan to lay him to rest. For those who knew him, lets honor him through this. For our friends who identify with this situation, you understand how difficult and sudden things can get. my appeal is to help the family so they have 1 less thing they do not have to worry about.
