Remembering Tanny's Love and Dedication
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that Tanny Joe Brock, age 64, passed away at his home in Columbus on the evening of June 26, 2025.
Tanny was a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and colleague. Born in Martinsville on June 6, 1961, he was known for his unwavering work ethic, deep love for family, and humble spirit. Tanny dedicated his life to providing for those he loved—working most recently as a forklift operator for TA Services, and before that, spending 27 years as a truck driver for Franklin Power and 18 years as a furnace operator for Nikkei.
Outside of work, Tanny had a true passion for bluegrass music, playing guitar in the band Lonesome & Blue. He found joy in the outdoors—fishing, hunting, and embracing the peace of nature. But above all, Tanny cherished time with his family. He was a proud father to six children and found his greatest joy in his 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life.
We are raising funds to help support Tanny’s family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go to Tanny’s children to help cover funeral expenses and provide support as they navigate the days ahead.
Tanny will be remembered for his strength, his music, his faith, and the love he gave so generously. If you’re able, please consider making a contribution or sharing this fundraiser with others who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at Spearsville Wesleyan Church Cemetery: 9174 Bean Blossom Road, Brown County.
