I don’t even know how to write this… Our beautiful girl, Sizzle, passed away on July 16th.
She was my whole heart. My best friend. My constant shadow. She was joy in a little body, a light in our lives, and the purest soul I’ve ever known. Sizzle wasn’t just a pet—she was my heart dog and my baby. Losing her has shattered me in a way I can’t even put into words.
To all of you who followed her, laughed with her, and loved her from near and far—thank you. Sharing her with you over the years has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Your comments, your support, your friendship, and your love for her… it truly means everything to me.
These past few weeks have been an emotional storm. Sizzle got very sick, very fast. We rushed her to appointments, multiple emergency vets, and finally to the internal specialists at Penn Vet in Philadelphia. We did absolutely everything we could—tests, procedures, medications—every moment was spent trying to save her. But in the end, we couldn’t. And we’re devastated.
In just a matter of a few weeks, we spent over $12,000 trying to fight for her life, because no test was confirming what was wrong. That number feels surreal—but we never hesitated. She deserved every chance. Especially when some doctors believed it was just a matter of finding the right medication.
I never thought I’d be in the position to ask for help, but we’ve started a GoFundMe to try to ease the burden of these medical bills as we also try to navigate this heartbreaking loss. If Sizzle ever made you smile, if you felt connected to her in any way, and if you feel called to help—we would be so grateful. And if you can’t donate, please just share.
Thank you for being a part of her world. Thank you for loving her. She was so very loved.
Forever broken,
Tamara
