Our aunt Sarom Bun Tan has sadly passed away December 7th, 2025 @ 8pm. We are hoping the community pulls together and helps us as we try to honor her properly. We are considered family but not by blood or marriage. However we felt we needed to do right by her after her passing. Please help us in anyway possible.

She passed away from a year's worth of going in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation center. She did get to spend about 2 months at home during the past year. She had three major surgeries involving amputation of three toes, then her thyroid, and lastly above the knee amputation. Her body could not handle the aftercare and the wounds would get infected. In the end her will to live was strong but her body could not keep up. We will miss this beautiful soul who loved and adored all and every single living thing. She had this love for animals that passed on to many in my family. Sarom Bun Tan, you are so loved in our family and the RI community.
