Over the last few days, as we collectively began to process the sudden loss of our dear friend Sandi, I was fortunate to hear many stories about Sandi's impact on people's lives. Some of the descriptions I've heard include: "like another mother," the biggest heart, made me want to be a better person, a ray of light in the darkness, a beautiful soul, loyal and supportive, always thinking outside the box. You get the picture; she was a class act, and we are all better people just for knowing her.

Sandi was a beloved friend to so many in her lifetime. One of those monumental friendships was built with my aunt Anna and her family: Donnie and Kai. The word "friend" doesn't even begin to cover the scope of their 18-year relationship. Sandi wasn't just a close friend and colleague; she was the family Anna chose to have close to her, Donnie and Kai. Sandi was chosen to be part of their everyday lives, working careers, future plans, and Kai's upbringing. As they navigate through this extremely difficult and heartbreaking time, I'm humbly asking you for help.

Anna, Donnie, and Sandi worked together as a family unit to cover their household finances and budget. Anna, Donnie, and Kai will not only need the time and space to process this monumental loss within their family, but they will need assistance with the financial toll this tremendous loss will take on their household. Any help you can offer in their time of need would be greatly appreciated.
