In Loving Memory of Ryan Nabors “Noodles”
We’re heartbroken to share the sudden and tragic loss of our cousin, son and father Ryan — lovingly known by many as “Noodles” — a young Native and black man in his twenties whose life was taken by gun violence
in Minneapolis.
Ryan deeply loved his two beautiful children and was there for them when they were babies, trying so hard to be the best dad he could be. Even when life got tough and pulled him away, he never stopped wanting to get back on track for them. About two and a half years ago, my mother (Geraldine) opened her heart and home to take his kids in, always hoping Ryan would get the chance to see them grow up.
He wasn’t in a gang or living that life — he was a kind young man with a soft spirit and a funny personality that everyone loved. Ryan, “Noodles,” truly was very loved by so many around him. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the gun violence that’s taking too many young fathers, daughters, sons, and friends here in Minneapolis.
Ryan leaves behind his two little ones, a father who loved him deeply, many cousins and family who will never forget his smile and laughter, and loved ones up north in Leech Lake and across northern Minnesota who are grieving this loss too. He also carries the memory of his mother, who passed when he was still young.
We started this GoFundMe to help cover any funeral costs and to make sure his children always know how much their dad loved them. We also hope to bring awareness to how senseless violence tears families apart and leaves kids growing up without the parents who truly wanted to be there.
Thank you for reading, sharing, or donating. Anything helps, and it means so much to our family during this painful time.
Rest easy, Ryan “Noodles.” You were loved more than you knew, and you’ll never be forgotten.
