Rusty Bashon aka (Cowboy) was one of those rare people who would help anyone, anytime, no questions asked. He put others before himself every chance he had, and he meant so much to his family, friends, and the entire community. He truly had a heart bigger than most.
Recently, Rusty suffered a major heart attack and had to under go surgery to open two arteries . While in the hospital, he continued to have several mini strokes, and doctors determined he needed another emergency surgery. The surgery was very high risk, with only a 50/50 chance of survival. Before doctors were able to perform the surgery, Rusty sadly passed away.
His mom stayed by his side the entire time he was in the hospital and never left him. She sat with him, talked to him, and was there with him until the very end. Through all of this, she wasn’t worried about herself — That shows the kind of love and family they are.
Rusty was truly an extraordinary man. He loved life, he loved people, and he loved his family more than anything. If someone needed help, Rusty was there. He went above and beyond for others, even before himself, and he will be deeply missed by so many people whose lives he touched. He loved it all — spending time with family, helping people, being there for friends, making people laugh, and just enjoying life. He was the kind of man you could always count on, and the kind of man you’ll never forget.
Unfortunately, Rusty’s hospital stay has left behind significant medical bills that are not going to be covered, along with the cost of funeral and memorial expenses. Our family is asking for help during this incredibly difficult time so that his mom and family do not have to carry this financial burden while also grieving such a huge loss.
