Hi, I’m raising funds for a memorial to Ron Hopper. Ron was a long time live-aboard in Oceanside Harbor. He came from humble beginnings and retired as a lifeguard back in New York. His vessel, “Relentless” was lost at sea to a tragic fire earlier this week. To my knowledge, he did not have any immediate or extended family.

What I know about Ron is that he worked at Home Depot, was a friend to all and was a dedicated boater. He would give you the shirt off his back; kind, considerate and always greeted you with a helping hand and smile.

My goal is to raise funds for a plaque to be mounted some where in the Oceanside marina. The way he lived his life and treated people and animals deserves recognition. Please consider a small donation to recognize a life well lived.
