Remembering Rolando: Aid for Funeral Expenses

Hello everyone, this is something I've never dreamed or imagined wanting to type up, especially for someone so close to me and the community Rolando touched. I'm Brian, the younger brother of Rolando Aguilera Jr. I'm creating the fundraiser for my lovely brother Rolando, who tragically passed away on March 6, 2025.

Rolando was never the type of person to beg for money from anyone, no matter how deep in a situation he was in. Our family is trying to overcome this the same way that he would, but it's something that is proving to be hard for everyone.

Rolando was the best father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to anyone who he came across. He was a very genuine person with a big heart willing to help anyone at anytime. He had a very intimidating look to him due to his height and his size but he was just a big teddy bear walking around. Rolando had an infectious laugh that will be greatly missed. He loved a fast life having the fastest cars in Fort Wayne and reviving his engine as loud as he could making the town shake. Very proud of his parents Rolando decided to get his first & only tattoo honoring the love and respect he had for his family getting “Aguilera” tattooed on the back of his forearm. He was very proud of this tattoo showing it off any chance he had. One of his big accomplishments in life was the privilege of becoming a father to his little man and being able to provide him with lots of love and support. Not to mention the love and talent he had for cooking anything from full course meals to desserts to his bomb horchata. These are only some of the few qualities he had if we kept going there wouldn’t be an end. Rolando leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

Hola a todos, esto es algo que nunca soñé ni imaginé que debia escribir, especialmente para alguien tan cercano a mí y a la comunidad a la que Rolando llegó. Soy Brian, el hermano menor de Rolando Aguilera Jr. Estoy creando la recaudación de fondos para mi querido hermano Rolando, quien falleció trágicamente el 6 de marzo de 2025.

Rolando nunca fue el tipo de persona que le rogaba dinero a nadie, sin importar cuán profunda fuera la situación en la que se encontraba. Nuestra familia está tratando de superar esto de la misma manera que él lo haría, pero es algo que está resultando difícil para todos.

Rolando fue el mejor padre, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo para todos los que se cruzaron en su camino. Era una persona muy genuina con un gran corazón dispuesto a ayudar a cualquiera en cualquier momento. Tenía un aspecto muy intimidante debido a su altura y su tamaño, pero era solo un gran oso de peluche caminando por ahí. Rolando tenía una risa contagiosa que se extrañará mucho. Amaba la vida rápida, tenía los autos más rápidos de Fort Wayne y hacía que el motor rugiera lo más fuerte que podía, haciendo temblar la ciudad. Muy orgulloso de sus padres, Rolando decidió hacerse su primer y único tatuaje en honor al amor y respeto que tenía por su familia, tatuándose "Aguilera" en la parte posterior de su antebrazo. Estaba muy orgulloso de este tatuaje y lo mostraba cada vez que tenía la oportunidad. Sin mencionar el amor y el talento que tenía para cocinar cualquier cosa, desde comidas completas hasta postres y su horchata buenisima. Estas son solo algunas de las pocas cualidades que el tenía, si continuáramos, no habría un final. Rolando deja un legado de amor, amabilidad y recuerdos inolvidables.

The reason for making this fund is to provide financial support mainly for his funeral expenses, burial, headstone, scene of the accident marker/cross, and unexpected expenses that will come along through the coming months.
