Remembering Bob: A Life of Joy

A Celebration of Robert Turner Litton's Life

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Robert Turner Litton, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many in the Coos Bay, Oregon community. Bob, just shy of his 94th birthday, lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and genuine kindness. He leaves behind his children, Roger and Sunnie, who adored him, as well as seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Bob was a fixture in Coos Bay, known for his cheerful demeanor and infectious enthusiasm. He started his day with a walk to his local coffee shop and cherished enjoying a bowl of chowder on the boardwalk near his sailboat, where he lived independently until his recent hospitalization. He spent his Friday’s meeting with old high school friends. He spent the rest of his free time working on his sail boat or spending time with his good friend Marrie. Bob lived a humble life, finding joy in simple pleasures and always ready with a smile for everyone he met. He was an adventurous soul, embracing life to the fullest, even going bungee jumping at 85 and skydiving at 75!

Bob’s passing leaves a void in the lives of his family and friends. We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of funeral and memorial costs during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated and will help us honor Bob’s life in a meaningful way. The funds will also allow Roger and Sunnie a few days off work to grieve, arrange the service, and thoughtfully go through their father's belongings.
