In Loving Memory of Richard “Ricky” A. Magdaug
March 19, 1958 – September 23, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved brother, uncle, and friend, Richard “Ricky” Magdaug. His passing was sudden and unexpected, and our family is still trying to process this loss.

Ricky was born in Seattle, WA, the sixth child of Patricia and Jesus Magdaug. If you knew Ricky, you know he loved to laugh, tell stories, and make people feel welcome. He carried the aloha spirit in everything he did—always ready with a hug or a lei to celebrate birthdays, graduations, or just to brighten someone’s day. He gave so much of himself to others, especially in the years he lovingly cared for our mom until her passing.

Ricky’s kindness, joy, and generosity touched so many, and he will be missed more than words can say. He is survived by his sisters Sonja, Rose, and Irene; his brother David; and his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Because his passing was unexpected, we were not prepared for the costs that come with planning a funeral and burial. We are reaching out to our friends and family for support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing your memories of Ricky with us. Every bit of love and help means the world right now.

Estimated Costs:

Funeral home & mortuary expenses: $3,000

Burial: $2,500

Memorial service & reception: $1,500

Total: $7,000

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness and support during this time. More than anything, we ask for your prayers—for Ricky’s soul, that he may rest in the peace of Christ, and for our family as we grieve together.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. ✝️
