Honoring Veteran Richard Patrick Billingsley
In a single, unexpected moment, the world changed for “Rick” Billingsley and the family who loves him.
Rick was a proud Navy veteran, a talented artist, and a lifelong lover of rock ’n’ roll. Music was part of who he was—especially when he had a bass guitar in his hands. Above all else, he was a devoted brother, son, father, and uncle who cared deeply for his family.
Tragically, Rick recently suffered a severe heart attack that left him without oxygen to his brain for approximately 30–45 minutes before EMS was able to revive him. Despite every effort, he was left with no brain activity. His family is now facing the heartbreaking and unimaginable decision to let him go.
At just 66 years old, this loss was sudden and completely unexpected. Rick did not have final arrangements in place, and his family was unprepared for the emotional and financial burden that comes with such a loss. Most of Rick’s immediate family has already passed, leaving his brother Michael and his daughter Roseann to make these incredibly difficult decisions on their own.
We are asking for support to help cover funeral and final expenses and to ease the financial strain during this painful time. Rick served his country, lived creatively, and filled his life with music and love—now we are hoping to come together to support the family he leaves behind.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help provide relief and allow his loved ones to focus on honoring his life and legacy. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Rick, Michael, and Roseann in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for helping us honor a veteran, an artist, a musician, and a beloved family man.
