Remembering Rick: A Loving Father and Friend

Today, we are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of Richard “Rick” Young Jr. He left this world far too soon, and we are now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye while trying to honor his life in a meaningful way.

Rick was a complicated soul with a strong sense of loyalty to those he truly cared about—especially his partner, Jaime Young, and his closest friends. He had a deep bond with Jaime, who stood by his side through the highs and lows, and he valued friendship like family. He is survived by Jaime and their seven children, and as well as his father, and he was looking forward to becoming a grandfather very soon.

Though Rick may not have always followed the traditional path, he left a lasting impact on those around him. He was fiercely independent, unapologetically himself, and lived life on his own terms. He had a way of making people laugh and brought a realness that will be missed by many.
