Karen Cantu has unexpectedly found herself without her life partner. On 1/25/21, her husband of 41 years, Rene, died suddenly from a heart attack, leaving Karen, their 2 daughters, their family, and everyone around them stunned. Many people in our McMinnville community knew Rene from his 30 years working at Les Schwab as the person they turned to for help and honesty. He not only worked hard, but was also a warm, friendly people-person who just made others feel good. Karen is also known by many in our community as the receptionist at McMinnville Family Dental. She has faithfully worked here since 1998, first for Dr. Egan, and then for Dr. Wylie. Karen is compassionate, smart, and we have come to rely on her skill in running this office. Karen's co-workers have made this GoFundMe account as a way to show Karen and the whole Cantu family the love and support that comes from our community. All of the funds raised will go to Karen to help with expenses and care surrounding the death of Rene. Our prayers and love go out to her and her family.
